Hello, my name is Lon Williams, and this is my wife Dawn, and our 4 boys Noah,
Titus, Caleb, and Silas.
Dawn and I met at Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania where I
attended for one year, and she got her Bachelor's in Secondary Education. I went
on to get a diploma from the Institute of Biblical Studies, which was then with
the Friends of Israel in Bellmawr, New Jersey. I also received a Bachelor's degree
in Church Leadership from Philadelphia Biblical University. I have taken several
classes to pursue a Master's degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
After serving in a couple of churches, Dawn and I were approached by a small group
of people to start Liberty Bible Church in 2003. It was a difficult decision for us
since we had recently had a negative church experience, but it was through that
trial of brokenness that God wrapped His arms around us, built us up, and equipped
us to do what we're doing now.
Words cannot express how excited, honored, and humbled we are to be part of this
body of believers. God has taken us from a group of 15 to 200 in just 6 short years.
In that time, people have found salvation, healing, restoration, hope, joy, and
purpose through Jesus Christ.
We exist to help people have life to the full, and we do that by leading them into
a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We strive to be creative, practical, relevant,
contemporary, and most importantly... real. In fact, our church motto of
"Real Church... Real People" is not just a catchy phrase but is something we are thinking
about constantly. Honestly, we're just 'ordinary people' trying to reach other
'ordinary people' for Christ. I serve an awesome Savior God in an awesome church!
I love the great outdoors, running, biking, coffee, and strumming my Taylor 714
guitar. I'm also a big fan of the UFC and all of the Philadelphia sports teams.
I could spend all day observing and interacting with people at coffeehouses and airports.
One of my secret addictions is reading and learning from some of my hero’s blogs:
Perry Noble, Ed Young, Steven Furtick, Rick Warren, Andy Stanley, Craig Groeschel,
and Matt Fry. These guys teach me so much. And in case you're wondering, I also love
Hillsong, Crowder, Seventh Day Slumber, and SCC.
When my wife isn't chasing God's four little gifts to us, she likes walking, reading,
scrapbooking, and watching 'The Hallmark Channel' & '19 Kids & Counting.' She's a fan of
Patsy Clairmont, Beth Moore, and definitely Steven Curtis Chapman. She is hands down the
best wife and mom on the planet.
I'd like to thank you for taking the time to get to know us a little bit. We'd love to get to
know you too, so if you stop by to worship with us, please pull us aside and say 'Hello'.
Hope to see you soon!

Hello, my name is Tom and my wife is Wendy.
We have been married for 37 years, have 2 married children, and are the proud grandparents
of a 4 year old granddaughter with a grandson on the way! I earned an Associate Degree in
Business Management from Beal Business College in Bangor, Maine. I then attended Nyack College,
where I received a B.A. in Religion. Following Nyack I attended Asbury Theological Seminary in
Wilmore, KY, receiving an M.A. in Religion. In September 1979, I was ordained by the
Christian and Missionary Alliance. I have served in several churches over the past
35 years both in Senior and Youth Pastor positions. Various ministries have taken us from
Connecticut to Georgia and finally to Wellsboro 17 years ago.
We have been attending Liberty for two years and have enjoyed the vibrant and growing
ministry here. It is an honor to now be serving part–time on the staff.
Wendy and I have been foster parents of teen boys for five years. We have seen this
ministry impact the lives of young people who need a second chance in life. In our
free time we like to read and enjoy the outdoors. I also enjoy working on my 1967 GTO
which has been a long work in progress. We hope you will visit our church soon and
experience this relevant ministry to today’s families.

Hi there, I'm Ashley Hunter-Smith and this is my husband Jay.
We're both originally from Wellsboro, but moved to the heart of
downtown Liberty as soon as Lon married us in 2007 in order to be
closer to the church. We were high school sweethearts and attended
Mansfield University together where I earned my bachelor's degree in
Education, with a concentration in Languages and Literature, and Jay
received his bachelor's in Business Administration. We have a beagle
named Lucy, a cat named Scoot, and a Turtle called Lucky.
I was what you would call "unchurched" before I started attending
Liberty Bible Church in the winter of 2004, less than 6 months after its
doors opened, and I've been here ever since. I'm so blessed to be living
out my calling in full-time ministry and loving every single minute of it.
There's nothing better than serving and bringing glory to our awesome God! My
favorite verse describes my role at the church perfectly: "Let us hold unswervingly
to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may
spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as
some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another- and all the more as
you see the Day approaching" (Hebrews 10:23-25).
When I'm not in the office, I love hiking to waterfalls, sailing, and catching
episodes of "Man vs. Wild," "The Mentalist," and "Criminal Minds" with Jay.
I also love listening to contemporary Christian music (everything from Paul
Baloche to Steven Curtis Chapman and Tenth Avenue North), theatre, reading
(especially books by Francis Chan, Jim Cymbala, and Beth Moore), and shopping
for deals at clearance sales. Jay and I also get to work with the teens through IMPULSE
and serve together on the worship team. If you call the church office, I’ll probably be the one that you speak to first, and I can’t wait to hear from you, so give us a call, or even better yet, stop by our Sunday Celebration so that we can get to know you as you get to know us.
